  • “Chagall in High Falls” Reception, Lecture & Exhibit ~ Tues. June 4, 6:30pm.  Join us for a fascinating glimpse into the life of the famous 20th century artist Marc Chagall, during the years he lived in the Hudson Valley. Regular Starr Library Programs

  • Free Homework Help ~ Starr Library is offering free homework tutoring for Rhinebeck children up to eighth grade. Sessions will take place at the library during business hours, and will be up to 45 minutes long.  Parents are expected to remain in the library for elementary age students.  Ask for an application at the circulation desk or print out the tutoring form and bring it to the library.
  • Scrabble ~ Wednesdays, 1-3pm.
  • Brain Games ~ NEW DAY! Thursdays, 1-2pm.
  • Embroidery Group “Starr Stitchers” ~ On the second, third and fourth Wednesday of every month, 10am – 1pm.
  • Story Time ~ Thursdays at 10:15 and 11:15am
  • The Local History & Genealogy Research Center is open Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10am – 3pm.
  • Starr Board of Trustees Meeting ~ Third Monday of the month, 5:30-6:30pm (except if that falls on a holiday, then it is the following Monday).
  • Next Book Sale ~ May 31 to June 2 during library hours. By Friends of Starr Library.
  • Free Chess Lessons ~ Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 – 12.  Drop in to play and learn with Ronald Jones.  For adults and children over 12.
